Crocheting a Bunny with Colorful Ears

Materials Needed:

4 double-pointed knitting needles suitable for your yarn (use thinner needles than those recommended on the yarn label). Used size 3 needles for this toy;
White yarn for the head and body, any colored yarn for ears, tail, and paws (mohair was used in this case);
Stuffing (hollow fiber);
Long needle for assembly;
Crochet hook;
Row marker (a paper clip can be used);
2 small beads for eyes (black marbles were used);
Wire with a diameter of 2-3 mm;
"Dragon" glue;
Pliers, wire cutters;
Velcro or a teasing brush for fluffing.

Head And Body:

Knit as one piece. Cast on 9 stitches and divide them onto 3 needles to knit in the round. Carefully avoid twisting the stitches. Place a marker at the beginning of the round. Continue knitting according to the pattern, filling the part with hollow fiber towards the end. Cut the yarn, pull through the remaining stitches, and hide the end.

Face Formation:

The process is shown step-by-step in photos. Wrap yarn around the neck to separate the head from the body. Make tightening adjustments.

Tail:

Embroider the tail as shown in the photo (French knot).

Nose:

Cast on 12 stitches and divide onto 3 needles. Knit in the round. Continue with the pattern, cut the yarn, pull through the remaining stitches, and hide the end. Sew the nose on. Attach bead eyes or glue on marbles at the tightening points. Embroider eyebrows and a smile.

Ears (2 Pieces):

Knit on 2 needles with garter stitch. Cast on 4 stitches as shown in the photo, then switch to colored yarn (turquoise in this case), and knit all stitches. Follow the pattern, cut the yarn, pull through the last stitch, and hide the end. Repeat for the second ear.

Making Paws:

Cut two pieces of wire for the paws. For upper paws - 14 cm, for lower paws - 21 cm. Thread the wire through the body. Use glue (Dragon was used) on the wire and wind yarn around it as shown in the photo. Secure the ends of the yarn with a double knot and hide it inside the body. Bend the paws using pliers. Your bunny is ready!
